I have one other question. Your Ariete has a pressurized PF right? If so, what setting do you have your grinder on to pour a 25 second shot or so with the tamp you showed in the video?

grkevin September 3, 2010 at 6:47 pm: You’ve got a good point! I read the same thing about the Capresso Infinity before I bought it. However, when I got it, I found out that it grinds with or without the plastic basket in place. There is no “switch” or “button” that I can see that the basket flips when its in place, so I don’t think the unit even knows if its there. However, it can get a bit messier without the basket in place (hence the rag underneath it).
